Working with a mentor can make a big difference in a high school student’s academic journey. The mentor can offer practical advice in things (networking, navigating etiquette rules in a particular field, etc.) not covered in a classroom setting.
Mentoring is the single most important component of Aum Foundation programs. Mentors are female professionals from a variety of fields. These are women who are committed to paying it forward. They make a vital difference to the lives of students in the program. Our mentor program creates a beneficial and enjoyable relationship for both the mentee and mentor.
A clear commitment to showing up consistently, meeting safely, and supporting students with care.
Mentors help students grow through consistent, safe, and supportive relationships. Please review the requirements and responsibilities below before applying.
As an Aum mentor, you are expected to meet regularly, communicate clearly, and follow Aum's safety and reporting guidelines.
2x a month for 1 hour for our Pathway to Success Mentors.
Students are asked to reach out to their mentor on Monday to schedule that week's meeting.
If you have not heard from your mentee by Wednesday, please reach out to them.
If you haven't heard back in 72 hours, email Tiffany Mujica at tiffany.mujica@aumfoundationusa.org and cc info@aumfoundationusa.org
